I am a passionate educator committed to fostering 21st-century skills through the 5Cs: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Choice. I am dedicated to creating an inclusive, solution-driven educational environment that empowers students to advocate for themselves.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in History (2015), a Master’s degree in English (2017), and I am currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction (2025). Mentors have played a significant role in my growth as an educator and a person by providing guidance, support, and inspiration throughout my journey. They have modeled excellence in teaching practices, offered me constructive feedback, and encouraged my pursuit of advanced degrees, fueling my passion for lifelong learning. I have been lucky enough to build relationships with students who contact me for help with their college courses, making me a mentor for them.
As a National Honor Society advisor, I am privileged to guide outstanding students who exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, and character. My responsibilities include organizing meetings, overseeing community service projects, and ensuring students uphold the values of the society in their academic and extracurricular pursuits. I work with members to develop initiatives that positively impact the school and the broader community, such as organizing a tab drive for The Red River Valley Ronald McDonald House and a penny wars competition to donate money to the Nestegard Memorial Swimming Pool. It’s a pleasure to watch these students grow into compassionate leaders. I’m honored to support their journey, encouraging and helping them realize their incredible potential to make a difference.
